I support a ban of offshore drilling off the coast of South Carolina.  We don't need South Carolina's coast to become a victim from another BP.

We should not increase the reactor numbers at South Carolina Nuclear Facilities.  Especially considering issues with the potential closure of Yucca Mountain, we cannot keep nuclear waste stored onsite at these facilities due to the potential of terrorism and exposure to the public. 

We need to create a renewable electricity standard of 15% by 2020.  We need to encourage greater use of renewable resources.  For the same reason that we have fuel economy standards for cars, we need renewable electricity standards for utilities.

I support reducing greenhouse gas pollution and carbon emissions.

I also support the implementation of the use of biodegradable consumer packaging.

We need to get funding for the Superfund sites in South Carolina and have the clean up processes begun.
