On January 30th, Charleston County Democratic Party hosted a debate between the three Democratic candidates for the 1st Congressional District. Robert Dobbs, the PDA endorsed candidate, easily won the debate. Robert's answers were concise and specific.
Robert was clearly in support of Progressive values and policies. Unlike, his two opponents he supports a single payer healthcare system, ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, creating green jobs and opposing off-shore drilling and nuclear power, Robert clearly stated that the money being spent in Afghanistan could be spent to provide jobs and healthcare for every American here at home.
Robert was unwavering in his opposition to off-shore drilling and nuclear power plants. The overall them of Robert's stance was Healthcare not Warfare and his support for single-payer health coverage. We here at SC PDA are proud to support Robert in his campaign to become the Congressman from South Carolina.
